Report on the Silver Connections Open Morning
The Minster
Hotel, York
About 20 of us met up on a lovely sunny day for the Silver Connections Open Morning at the Minster Hotel York on Wednesday 16th June from 10.00 - 12.00 noon. After a brief introduction in which Peter and Diana told us a little bit about themselves and the Silver Connections Introductions Service for Christians aged 40 plus, we were free to chat over coffee and biscuits with our new friends - some of whom were members of Silver Connections and some were potential members. The time flew by, and I think we were all blessed by our time together. This was the first time Peter and Diana have hosted such an event, and we hope they will be encouraged by the enthusiastic response to continue the tradition!

Holland House - Easter '10
We have enjoyed a wonderful and very blessed time at Holland House this Easter. We were excellently looked after by the staff at Holland House and our grateful and sincere thanks to them all. Whilst at Holland House we were privileged to formally recognise Bryan Conway as our President Elect. Bryan has been a great supporter of and active participant in Christian Singles work over many years and we are truly fortunate that Bryan has accepted this position and we can continue to benefit from his spiritual wisdom and insight as well as from his years of experience and knowledge of the Christian Singles ministry.

Peter and Jackie are delighted to invite you to their lovely part of the world (Bluntisham near Huntingdon) for a day of worship, Bible teaching and salsa dancing.

Programme
The suggested programme is as follows:
2pm Arrive and drink
2.30pm Icebreaker
2.45pm Worship and Bible teaching
3.30pm Salsa introductory taster (learn some basic steps for about an hour)
4.45pm Ploughman's lunch
6pm Salsa dance / social (show off your new steps!)
8pm depart
The cost of the day is £8, and it will be held St Mary's Church Room, Bluntisham
For those arriving early . . .
St. Ives nearby is very picturesque by the old river bridge and has some good little cafes.
Raptor Centre, on the road between St. Ives and Somersham has got an excellent craft shop packed with items made by local craftsmen which can be visited without paying the entrance fee to the Centre.
The Prince of Wales in Bluntisham (on the A1123) has a reputation for good meals.
