Here are CSF Memeber John Grint's reports from Tanzania:

We are very pleased to be receiving news reports from John Grint during his 3 month visit to Tanzania to work amongst the street children of Kigamboni. Here is are first three reports (in reverse order!) from John, and some great photos!
Third Report - Jan. 7th 2011
(The first three photos are of Jafari, Jafari and Emanuel, andSadati)

Hello everybody,

Mambo
everyone,
I
have given my first basic computer class today, training six children on three
computers. The children are very interested and want to learn, it is a pleasure
to teach them.
I
also met my first street child girl here in Tanzania, her name is Princess. She
is quite tough and answered a lot of questions, she told me there are quite a
few street girls and they are harassed a lot. Princess was attacked by ten
street boys but managed to escape and went to the police, apparently never to be
attacked again. She is approached by men but always manages to escape. Well
that’s what she told me, we do not always get the truth in the first
interview.
You
will also see photos of Rama teaching English to youngsters and also translating
for me at the computer classes. Also: The main road into Kigamboni - Arm
painting – Princess Street girl – Dram show and infants in class, who when I
took the photo were by themselves.
Regards
John
First Report - Nov. 24th 2011

Nov 24th 2011
Hello everybody,
All of KCC’s computers except the computer we shipped
were not working, we know have three working, I brought with me all the parts to
build another computer, Fanuel and me went to Dar es Salaam this morning and
bought a computer case so Fanuel, under my supervision, will build it tomorrow
that should be fun!
We are gradually finding ways to help street children! Ina
a German girl and Sakina a local girl have put some good ideas to me that we can
work on and hopefully this trip we should come up with something positive.
The ocean is beckoning.
Regards John.
